Help Us · Keep It Independent

Funded by people, not factions.

This project argues that power should not be bought. It would be hard to say that honestly while taking corporate or dark money — so we don’t. We run on small, transparent gifts from people who want this to exist. Here is exactly what that pays for.

Our funding pledge. We take the Blueprint’s own principles seriously. Gifts here are small-dollar and transparent. We accept no corporate or dark money, we give nothing to any candidate, party, or campaign, and we will publish a plain public accounting of what comes in and where it goes.

Where your money goes

A lean operation, run honestly. Here is the yearly budget it takes to keep this alive and credible.

A dedicated administrator & moderator
A fair, full-time wage for one person watching the site every day — reading and moderating essays and comments fairly, through the busy days and the quiet ones.
$55,000
Legal editor for accepted essays
A professional read on the strongest essays before we publish them and send them to the press.
$8,000
Constitutional review of the Operative Edition
A legal check on the master document each time a new version is adopted.
$4,000
Legal defense reserve
A retainer and first line of defense if anyone tries to shut this down. A reserve, not a war chest — but enough to respond fast instead of folding.
$10,000
Op-ed placement fund
Getting accepted essays in front of readers — regional papers and online placement, where it is actually reachable.
$10,000
Hosting, domain, email & security
Cloudflare and the plumbing that keeps the site fast, safe, and online.
$1,200
Processing fees, tools & contingency
The unglamorous costs of running anything at all.
$2,800
To run it honestly, one year
~$91,000

Phase one goal: $20,000

Enough to begin — part-year moderation, hosting, and the first legal reviews — while we build toward the full ~$90,000 a year it takes to sustain.

We’ll update this as gifts come in. Starting from zero, in the open.

This is a multi-year effort. We’re funding the work through the 2029 debate deadline and into the 2030 cycle — one year at a time, in the open.

Prefer to give monthly? About 750 people at $10 a month would fund the entire year. Recurring gifts are what carry a multi-year effort.

Ways to give

Give once or monthly — whatever works for you.

Give by card

Secure card giving through Square — give once, or set up a monthly gift. Recurring support is what carries a multi-year effort.

Launching with the site

Give through GoFundMe

A GoFundMe drive goes live the moment the site does — the simplest way to chip in from anywhere and to rally friends behind it. We’re holding it until launch so every dollar lands on a page that’s fully open for business. Card and mail giving work right now.

The honest fine print

The Article V Blueprint is a citizen project, not a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions are not tax-deductible. Please don’t give expecting a tax benefit.

Your gift supports only the work described above. No funds go to any candidate, political party, or campaign. If you ever want to know where the money went, ask — we’ll show you.

Can’t give? You can still help — free.

Honestly, these move the needle as much as money.
